Reference - litigation financing
In the context of litigation finance, we provide funds to cover the costs incurred in asserting claims in court and arbitration proceedings. These funds are intended for the initiation or continuation of litigation, in which we usually act for the plaintiff, but also for the defendant in some cases. If the litigation is successful, CSCP receives a fee in the form of a share of the value adjudged; otherwise, CSCP remains liable for the costs of the litigation, which typically include legal fees, attorneys’ and experts’ fees or the counterparty’s entitlement to reimbursement of its costs in the event that the claim is not successful. We offer parties seeking this type of financing the opportunity to spread the associated risks, strengthen their financial position vis-à-vis the counterparty, and at the same time manage cash flow more efficiently during pendency of the litigation.
